Abstract

390,599. Caravans ; folding vehicles, sheds, &c. JONES, W. H., Castlefroma, Castle Road, Tipton, Staffordshire. Feb. 1, 1932, No. 2904. [Class 108 (i).] In a collapsable structure such as a trailer caravan, cabin, shed or shelter of the kind comprising a stationary well portion to which is hinged a pair of foldable wings adapted to form side seats and side walls the wings are rigid structures comprising sides and ends and fold one within the other while the roof comprises a middle portion to which side extension portions are hinged. The well is provided with end parts 3 which extend vertically to the position 4, Fig. 4, and the wings 6 of box form are hinged at 9 to the sides 2 of the well. When the wings are opened the portions 7 form seats. The roof comprises a middle portion 12 with side extensions 14 hinged thereto and are supported by foldable props 16. The ends are filled up when the caravan has been erected by removable portions 31 and portions 28 hinged to the well. A door is hinged at 26 in the end portions 3 of the well.
