Abstract
334,215. Dickson, D. B. May 29, 1929. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Vehicles convertible into caravans.-Trailing caravans are provided with relatively small compartments which may be projected, when the vehicle is at rest, beyond the surface of the side walls or retracted flush with said walls when the vehicle is travelling. The compartments may be of box-like structure as shown at 3 and slide outwardly on guides 5, a ventilator 9 being provided if desired. Such a compartment may be used for cooking purposes. Alternatively, the compartment may be of sector shape hinged at 11 to the side walls and a false bottom 15 provided on which may rest a wash basin 16 provided with a drain hole 17 adapted to communicate with a drain pipe 18. The compartments may be provided with windows.
