. 343,430. Advertising on vehicles. RICHARDSON, A. L., 48, Upper Church Lane, Belfast. Nov. 7, 1929, No. 33922. [Classes 3 (i) and 3 (ii).] A motor vehicle 1 for use as a travelling shop or private car is provided with removable and preferably illuminated advertising means comprising transparent panels 2 on the back or sides, together with boxes 10 on the top or sides carrying roller advertisements, preferably of the reel and web type, and operated by hand or automatically from the engine or a separate motor. Folding shelves 5 may be provided round the interior of the vehicle for displaying goods 6 through the windows 4. also folding seats 14 and sets of cupboards 3, 7, 9, one of which may be equipped as a small office. A wireless set or gramophone may also be carried, and letter boxes 18 may be provided in the rear doors. The vehicle may be used to carry a number of smaller motor or pedal-driven advertising vehicles such as tricycles or delivery vans, runways 17 being provided for these at the rear of the larger vehicle. The advertising equipment may be removed when the vehicle is to be used as a private car, and the interior may be partitioned off to form sleeping bunks and dining compartments.
