Abstract

361,621. Stands. SCAFFOLDING (GREAT BRITAIN), Ltd. and JONES, D. PALMER-, 344, South Lambeth Road, London. Nov. 25, 1930, No. 35438. [Class 52 (v).] A scaffold is supported by a telescopic trestle formed of two tubular members A, B, the upper member being provided with a split support A<2> at its upper end, while the lower member is provided with collapsable feet B<2>. The upper member is guided in the lower member by a slot and projection, and the members are retained in adjusted position by means of a pawl B<7> adapted to project over the top of the lower member and engage segmental slots A<4> in the upper member. The lower edges of these slots are tapered so that when the sliding member is raised the pawl is disengaged and when released the pawl automatically reengages.
