[Class 64 (i).] In an electric water heater a rotary non-sliding valve directs the cold water supply either through inlet 6 to displace hot water through outlet 13 or through byepass 7 direct to the outlet, or both these courses at once giving a mixture of hot and cold water at the outlet. The valve consists of a rotatable sleeve within a cylindrical casing having an inlet 3 and outlets 6, 7, ports in the sleeve being brought selectively or simultaneously into register with the outlets by operation of the handle 9. Specification 329,210, [Class 64 (i), Heating liquids &c.], is referred to.
