Abstract

360,302. Foot-arch supports. ANDREWS, F. E., 5, Richmond Street, Liverpool. Feb. 18, 1931, No. 5103. [Class 81 (ii).] A boot or shoe sock a has secured to the top or underside thereof a bar d so disposed as to support the heads of the metatarsal bones. The pad may be of rubber or, as shown, of several layers formed by folding and glueing a single piece of leather. A piece of thin leather a<2> is glued over the sock and bar and also stitched to the sock at a<3>, a<4>. The pad d may have a central forward extension and the sock a may terminate just forward of the pad.
