608,198. Soles for footwear. COMBINEDRUBBER CO., Ltd., and REICH, K. Feb. 18, 1946, No. 5040. [Class 17(ii)] A prefabricated sole for attachment, e.g. by cementing, to footwear comprises a long sole 1 of rubber or other composition, a heel portion 3 and a runner sole 5, 6 or a half-sole, a fosing or ornamental banding 4 of the same depth as the assembly being secured by stitching and preferably also by adhesive around the edge of the long sole including the heel. The runner sole shown comprises a crepe sole 5 and a leather sole 6 stitched together, up to shank 7, the wedge heel 3 being secured between their rear ends.
