[Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i).] Heat-insulating walls consist of wooden frames 4 covered on both sides with metal plates 1, 2, and the interior subdivided into dead-air spaces by partitions 3, such as metal sheets or other material impervious to air. The plates and partitions are made with grooves 5 for heat expansion, and are lined with heat-insulating fibrous material 6, such as hair felt. The frames are bevelled and connected by angle- or channel-bars 7, 9, slotted to receive bolts 8, and the joints are covered by wooden fillets 10.
