[Class 145 (ii).] A building slab comprises a wooden interior a with longitudinal grooves b on both sides thereof and coverings e at least one of which is of a material other than wood-for example, asbestos cement, metal, or artificial stone. The interior may consist of separate boards joined on their longitudinal edges and held together at the ends by transverse boards. The grooves b may communicate through transverse bores d. The coverings may be fastened to the interior by a waterproof adhesive such as casein, glue, guttapercha, or artificial resin, or by nails or screws.
