Convention dates, Feb. 28 and June 3. [Class 64 (ii)] [See also Group X] A heat- and sound-insulating wall comprises two spaced metal plates a, b each having guides d, the opposed pairs of which receive rails c of insulating material. The remaining hollow space is filled with corrugated asbestos sheet. In a modification Fig. 3, metal strips g are arranged between the guides d, and are secured together by a screw and threaded sleeve k, the heads of which fit into depressions in the strips g. Insulating material n, i is provided around the screw and sleeve. The rail c with strips g, slides between the guides d to hold the plates a, b together. The guides and strips g may have other interlocking shapes.
