357,056. Antidazzle screens for motor &c. vehicles. BAER, M., (trading as BAER & CO.), 8A, Stallschreiberstrasse, Berlin. Feb. 7, 1931, No. 3961. Convention date, Feb. 14, 1930. [Class 103 (ii).] An antidazzle screen for motor &c. vehicles is supported by linkwork comprising two parallelograms having one side in common so that the screen is maintained parallel to itself while moving to any desired position in its own plane. The screen b, of coloured glass, celluloid, or the like is contained in a frame n secured to a bracket m pivotally connected to two parallel links d, f which in turn are pivoted to links c, e pivotally supported by a Z-shaped bracket a fastened to a support above the windscreen. Opposite links are maintained parallel by a pair of cross links g. To regulate the rigidity of the system a clamp screw h is provided. To prevent the screen from dropping under the influence of vibrations, the front plate l of the bracket a may have projections o over which one of the links c, e passes when moved into the raised inoperative position. The brackets a, m keep the links and the screen clear of the windscreen wiper and of the clamp screw h respectively. The limits of adjustment of the screen may be varied to suit vehicles of different heights by reversing the bracket a in its support and by reversing the screen on the links d, f.
