Abstract

Looking - glasses and mirrors. - A bracket-like table, with which a mirror is combined, is supported at each side by a folding bracket which is in an adjustable stop or projection which enables the table to be brought to a true horizontal position. The device, shown in Fig. 2 without the mirror, consists of side plates a adapted to be screwed to the side frame of the front seat of a car, and links d, f pivoted at e, g and at h, l respectively to the plates a and to movable edge plates i in which the table &c. k is mounted. To render the links rigid, and to adjust the inclination of the table &c. an eccentric disc m is attached to the bar i by a pivot screw n round which it may be adjusted so as to bear as desired on the underside of the link d. In the modification fitted with a mirror, each edge plate i is in two parts folding together and connected by a friction joint so that the mirror may be held in an inclined position.
