Abstract

356,873. Casings for impact pulverizing mills. HARTSTOFF-METALL AKT.-GES., 39, Kaiser Wilhelm Strasse, C÷penick, and KRAMER, E., 26, Bayreuther Strasse, both in Berlin. July 16, 1930, No. 21571. [Class 59.] In a mill casing for centrifugal disintegrating or cyclone mills the lining, formed from manganese steel or chilled castings, is fixed to an outer frame or casing in such manner as to provide for the direct access of a cooling or heating medium to the outer surface of the lining, packing being provided between the frame and lining. The casing is built up of frames 1, 2, 3 secured by flanges 24, 25 and each frame is provided with a number of wearresisting plates 18, 19 &c. which may be spaced from the casing and are secured thereto by bolts 21 engaging nuts 20 or by eye-bolts 10 engaging flanges 9. Each plate beds in to a packing strip 16 so that the space between the plate and frame may be filled with a heating or cooling medium. The frame may be perforated so that plates are exposed to the atmosphere.
