Rollers or cylinders.- The annular facings, rims, or chills A of the rollers of crushing-mills, or other like rollers, are strengthened by one or more tough rings or hoops B of wrought iron, steel, &c. embedded therein. The rings, which may be complete or divided, are held in relative position by crossbars C, and are embedded in the facing nearer to its inner than to its outer periphery. Rings of zigzag form may be used.
