Abstract
355,389. Cartridge clips. PEDERSEN, J. D., The Grange, Knockholt, Kent. June 2, 1930, No. 17023. Convention date, Aug. 13, 1929. [Class 9 (i).] A cartridge clip for a double row of cartridges C<1>, C2 is made with cartridge retaining shoulders 11, 15, 13, 17 in addition to the retaining lips 7, 9, 8, 10, all symmetrically arranged so that the clip can be used with either pair of lips up or down. The clip shown is made from one piece of sheet metal bent to form a back 1 and sides 2, 3, with a shoulder 6 in the back for engagement by a latch in the gun, internal ribs 23, 24 for retaining the bases of the cartridges, and lips 19, 20 with depressions 21, 22 for engagement by a member in the gun to prevent inward closing movement of the sides 2, 3 of the clip while the cartridges are being removed therefrom as described in Specification 291,781, [Class 9 (i), Ammunition &c.]. The top and the bottom of the back is notched at 4, 5 to allow the passage of the cartridge feeding member of the gun. The clip is intended to be used in a magazine with a follower having a movable step as described in Specification 355,390. Specification 349,321 also is referred to.
