Abstract

354,348. Bearings for haulage pulleys. KING & CO. (LEEDS), Ltd., J., Climax Malleable Works, Garnet Road, and KING, J. E. S., Westfield, Beaumont Avenue, Roundhay, both in Leeds. May 1, 1930, No. 13405. [Class 12 (i).] A pulley or haulage roller 10 is mounted on roller bearings 16 on a vertical spindle 8 secured to or integral with a baseplate 2. The rollers 16 may be loose or may be carried by a cage comprising spaced-apart end rings. An inwardly projecting flange 23 in the hub 9 retains the rollers 16 endwise, the pulley being retained on the spindle 8 by a washer 24 and pin 25. The washer 24 excludes dust from the bearing. The upper face of the baseplate has an inclined projection 26 for directing the haulage rope on to the concave periphery lOx of the pulley. Specification 354,191 is referred to.
