Abstract

354,191. Bearings for haulage rollers. KING & CO. (LEEDS), Ltd., J., Climax Malleable Works, Garnet Road, and KING, J. E. S., Westfield, Beaumont Avenue, Roundhay, both in Leeds. May 1, 1930, No. 13404. [Class 12 (i).] A haulage pulley or roller 12 is mounted on a stationary spindle 8 carried by brackets 3 integrally or detachably secured to a baseplate 1. The pulley has a boss 14 at each end mounted on bearing rollers 16, the spindle 8 being reduced in diameter at the bearings. The rollers 16 are retained endwise by washers 17, 18, which may be secured to the bosses 14, the inner washers 18 entering the bore of the bosses 14. One of the washers 18 may be integral with the spindle 8. The bearing rollers may have pins at the ends and may be carried by a spacing cage consisting of spaced apart end rings. In a modification the washers 17, 18 at one end are omitted, the rollers being retained endwise by an inwardly projecting rib formed in the bore of the boss 14.
