Abstract

413,105. Curtain-runners. BISHOP, A. C., 77, Webb Lane, Hall Green, Birmingham. May 23,1933, No. 14824. [Class 52 (v).] A runner for curtains &c. is supported upon a flanged rail by one or more rollers freely rotatable in one or a pair of pivot bearings consisting of coned, tapered or pointed parts on the roller or runner engaging complementary recesses in the other member. In Fig. 4 the runner has a body part a with opposed shallow depressions d which receive the pointed ends of the spindles e of the rollers b. Modifications of the body part and the bearings are described. In Fig. 10 the rollers each have a single pivot engaging a depression m on the overhanging lugs of the runner. In further modifications, Fig. 16, the rollers w have curved surfaces which co-operate with complementary surfaces on the supporting rail x.
