[Also in Group XXII] A hollow cylindrical iron roller for conveyer belts consists of a centrifugally cast tubular member 1 having an external layer 1a of a high degree of hardness the remainder of the member being of a lower degree of hardness, machined recesses in the end portions 2a and 2b of the member which are of a lower degree of hardness and hub members 3a and 3b secured in said recesses.
