Roller bearings.-A bearing roller has a conical or cylindrical median section 2, constituting the major part of the roller, and end sections 2<1>, 2<11>, tapered at a slight angle a to the part 2. The central part 2 initially contacts with the bearing rings, the end parts 2<1>, 2<11> being free from load until the part 2 has worn down sufficiently, which occurs when the bearing has run long enough to produce uniform loading of the rollers.
