Abstract

353,973. Electric lamp caps. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Thomas, R. B.; 1171, Cleveland Heights Boulevard, Cleveland Heights, Ohio, U.S.A.) May 15, 1930, No. 14983. Convention date, May 15, 1929. [Class 39 (ii).] The cap of an electric lamp is made in two pieces, one with resilient portions engaging with depressions or protuberances on the bulb and the other screwing over the first to lock it in position. The Figure shows a cap of which one portion 19 is formed with resilient lugs 22 having protuberances 21 which engage with depressions 18 on the neck of the bulb. The other portion 20 screws over the portion 19 until it engages with a shoulder 25 on the bulb. On being turned further it draws the portion 19 upwards and locks the protuberances 21 in the depressions 18. The two parts are then secured together by punching.
