Abstract

322,322. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., and Cocksedge, F. M. Nov. 20, 1928. Catches, spring; stud- and-socket fastenings. - A fastening, applicable generally but described for connecting a detachable cap to the reflector of an electric lamp, comprises a socket A forming the cap and provided with a pair of parallel springs B adapted to snap into oppositely disposed slots D in the hollow stem C of the reflector when the latter is inserted and pushed home between the springs. Release is effected by rotating the stem, causing the springs to ride out of the slots. Accidental relative rotation is prevented by tongues E on the springs which engage within the cap behind the upper edges of slots D when the stem C is given a slight outward movement after the springs have snapped into engagement.
