[Class 38 (v).] Electrically-released switches ; latching and unlatching.-A multi-pole automatic circuit-breaker in which the phase switches may be switched on and released independently of one another, is provided with means to prevent the phase switches being closed when the switch in the neutral wire is open, and to ensure that the phase switches open when the neutral switch is opened. When the neutral switch f opens, a lever o is moved to depress a lever p against the action of a spring r to withdraw a detent s from a notch k and allow a spring l to move a shaft i to open the phase switches c, d, e. They cannot be closed until the neutral switch f is closed to allow the lever p to rise and engage the notch k. The neutral switch contact is constituted to make circuit before the other switches, and to break it afterwards. Specification 336,401, [Class 38 (v), Electric switches &c.], is referred to.
