Abstract
351,662. Printing-machines. TRIGGS, W. W., 57, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.-(Wood Newspaper Machinery Corporation; 501, 5th Avenue, New York, U.S.A.) May 10, 1930, No. 14476. [Class 100 (ii).] Inking-apparatus.-In an inking-apparatus for a printing-machine having means for adjusting the fountain blade relatively to the fountain roller, independent means are provided for pressing the blade into contact with the roller to cut off the ink supply thereto along any desired portion, e.g. a page width, thereof. A number of flexible blades 17, one for each page width of the fountain roller 11, are secured side by side to the support 18 and are adjusted in the usual manner by a series of screws 19. A number of bars 20, one for each blade, are rotatably mounted in the support 18 and are formed with teeth 22 engaged by a hand-operable worm 23 by which any of the bars may be turned so that a projecting ridge 21 thereon engages the blade 17 to force it :nto contact with the roller 11 to cut off the inksupply thereto.
