Abstract

351,106. Preventing abstraction of lubricant from crank chambers. LINDEQUIST, S., 20, Nachodstrasse, Berlin. March 31, 1930, No. 10167. Convention date, April 4, 1929. [Class 12 (iii).] In an internal-combustion engine having coaxial power and pump cylinders 1, 2, the pistons being on a common rod 6 guided at its lower end in an adjustable way 8, the top of the crank chamber is closed except for a slot for the connecting-rod, and to prevent excessive flow of oil into the lower part of the pump a fan may be attached to the crank case to exert a suction action on this slot and prevent oil flowing through.
