Abstract

350,816. Electric - lamp lanterns. COUADE, M., 7, Rue Jean Menans, Paris. Aug. 25, 1930, No. 25312. Convention date, Aug. 26, 1929. [Class 75 (iv).] The electric lamp of a projection lantern is mounted in a semi-circular spring clip gripping the cylindrical glass bulb only and forming the essential support for the lamp. As shown in Fig. 1, the lamp 1 is supported before the gate 8 by the spring clip 3 provided with a central projection aperture F, shaped to permit only the required light to pass. As shown in Fig. 3, the aperture F has the form of a rectangle with inwardly curved sides. The interior surface of the clip 3 may be reflecting, and the condenser system of Specification 261,028, [Class 97 (i), Optical systems &c.], may be employed.
