Abstract
350,618. Stoppers for bottles. VOSS, W., 27, Finowstrasse, Neuk÷lln, Berlin. March 28, 1930, No. 10004. Convention date, March 28, 1929. [Class 125 (iii).] In a drop stopper for bottles &c. comprising an elastic intermediate layer disposed between a wall closing the end of the bottle neck and a cap rotatable thereon, the three parts having outlet openings adapted to be brought into and out of register by rotation of the cap, three or more guide parts for the cap are spaced, preferably uniformly, over the circumference of the cap and the closing wall. A screw stopper 1 having an aperture 5 is surmounted by a cap 3 rotatably secured to it by inturning the lower edge of the cap. Three equal ribs 14 co-operate with a lower flange 11 to provide slots 2 into which pins 4 on the cap pass by vertical slots 14<1>, projections 14<11> closing the remote ends of the slots, the arrangement providing an even pressure of the cap 3 on the closing wall of the stopper. The stopper or the cap is provided with an oval projection 7 recessed to receive and position an elastic member 8 formed with an aperture 8<1> into which a part of the projection 7 projects, the aperture 6 of the cap passing through this projecting part. Instead of engaging a screw stopper, the cap may directly engage the neck of the bottle.
