Abstract
499,116. Securing bottle stoppers. BONDY, O. May 16, 1938, No. 14587. Convention date, March 19. [Class 125 (iii)] In a device for retaining or securing bottle stoppers comprising a two-part chamber 7, 8, Fig. 1, fixed to the bottle neck, and formed so that the hinged part 8 may be opened to expose the stopper 19, the device for fixing the chamber to the bottle neck is secured against access from outside when the chamber is closed. The chamber when closed is secured by a lock 9, 10 and is fixed to the bottle neck by spring-controlled lugs 13, which are cammed inwardly against the neck of the bottle by rotation of a slotted collar 11, Fig. 2. The collar 11 is secured against rotation by a projection 17 engaging teeth 16. In a modification the stopper 19, Fig. 4, may be secured to the hinged part 8 and the chamber is secured on the bottle neck by a screw-clamp 20.
