Abstract
350,583. Fire-extinguishers. McKEAN, J. M., 15, Cefn Parc, Skewan, Glamorgan. Dec. 18, 1929, No. 38777. [Class 47 (ii).] In an inversion extincteur of the kind in which the inner and outer vessels d, a are both sealed by a single valve j, a mixing chamber r for the two liquids is formed by a separate cap c which is screwed on to the neck b of the outer vessel. The liquids are discharged directly into this mixing chamber. The stem l of the valve is urged upwardly bv a spring n, and is held with the valve in closed position by a bayonet joint m. The nozzle o tapers, as at p, to a point of maximum constriction, and then expands, as at g. Vent holes s are provided for relieving excessive pressure.
