Abstract

414,596. Nozzles with valves. MARCHAUT, P. J., 67, Rue de Maubeuge, Paris. Feb. 22, 1934, No. 5866. Convention date, Jan. 13. [Classes 69 (iii) and 135.] A nozzle 1 for the projection of substances, e.g. for fire-extinguishing, in a conical sheet is provided with a deformable valve 3 movable relatively to the nozzle so that according to the deformation of the valve and its position in the nozzle, the angle of the cone may be varied. The nozzle is formed with a cylindrical tube 1 terminating in a bell mouth 2 within which the deformable nozzle 3 is moved by a rod 4. In a modification, the nozzle is provided with internal ribs which prevent actual contact with the valve.
