Abstract

228,321. Morris, C. V. Jan. 11, 1924. Extincteurs.-A foam fire-extinguisher operated by inversion and having an inner container closed by a valve F on a hollow spindle through which the contents discharge, as described in Specification 222,234, has means to close the discharge entrance of the hollow spindle simultaneously with the closing of the valve on its seating. This means may comprise a cup H fitted in an auxiliary valve seating G carried by radial arms, or the end of the discharge spindle E may close upon a conical plug or flat seating. The valve F may be held on its seating by a bayonet joint and spring, or by a screw.
