Abstract

349,497. Junction boxes; plug boards. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. and BAGULEY, E., Columbia House, Aldwych, London. Feb. 24, 1930, No. 6047. [Class 38 (i).] A terminal box for telephone cables comprises a panel 1 carrying binding posts 6 to which the cable conductors are attached, and terminals 9 connected to the station, testing, &c. equipment so located with relation to the binding-posts 6 that connection and disconnection between them is effected by means of standard links 10a. Behind the panel 1 is the box 5 for the fanned-out conductors enclosed by side walls 3 and an inclined back-plate 16. The connections 13 from the terminals 9 pass through the side walls 3. Sockets 8, 10 may be attached to or formed on the binding-posts 6 and terminals 9. Where two or more panels 1 are located end to end the cable inlet 17 of one terminal box projects beneath the inclined plate 16 of the adjacent box.
