Abstract

474,350. Junction boxes. MACRORY, R. V. April 23, 1937, No. 11688. [Class 38 (i)] In a junction box, of the type described in Specification 140,256 [Class 38 (i)], consisting of two sections 1, 2 fastened together, the throat 8 is of sufficient size to allow the cable cores to be manipulated atter the mam cables A and branch cable B have been gripped between the sections. Terminal members 13 carried by the strips 14 are connected to the main cable cores by connectors 12, and to the cores 17 of the branch cable B by links 15 and connectors 16. Bonding plates 7 are provided and insulating compound is run in to the level of the strips 14. In a modification, Fig. 4, the links 15 are arranged so that the through circuits may also be interrupted while the branch cable is connected by links 15<1>.
