Abstract

Arrangement of terminal blocks and connectors is for high density wiring, as in telephone systems, where easy access for testing and reconnection is required. Individual cable bundles enter a rectangular service box, through its base, which is mounted on an open square frame having a spur at each corner for securing to the ground base, each cable running in a short entrance tube. Connection terminals(14) are carried on two vertical boards(18) having a loose hinged base(15a) resting in upward facing 'U' shaped grooves. The boards are held vertical by a grooved top plate which when loosened allows the boards to be held forward for maintenance.
