Abstract

348,456. Sawing. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE R. E. P., 82, Rue de la Victoire, Paris. July 12, 1930, No. 21178. Convention date, July 13,1929. [Class 145 (ii).] A portable saw for cutting rails, comprises a blade S mounted in an adjustable frame 11 pivoted at 9 to the lower end of a swinging link 8. A support 1, carrying a stiffly pivoted arm 6, is shaped at its lower end to fit over the rail R and is clamped thereto by means of a bolt 3, a screw 4 being provided to adjust the standard angularly. During cutting the blade is maintained in a horizontal position by turning the arm 6 about its stiff pivot 5. The end 11d of the saw frame serves as a hand grip for operating the saw.
