A reciprocating tool, such as a saw blade 4 in a motor-driven hand tool, is angularly adjustable relatively to its driving means by rotation of a member 9 carried by a block 7 reciprocated along guides 13 by a crank pin 6, the member 9 having an eccentric conical portion 11 fitting in a conical hole in a tool carrier 2. The adjustment ensures that the blade is parallel to a reference edge on a supporting foot 16, so that straight cuts can be made, and the adjustment is locked by a screwed sleeve 8 bearing on a flange 10 on the member 9.
