Abstract

346,903. Signs. GAUNT, C. F., Warstone Parade Works, Birmingham. Feb. 17, 1930, No. 5203. [Class 3 (ii).] A sign comprises a facia and a rear inclined reflector which are hinged together and adjustably connected by one or more links, each link being connected to one member and being provided with a plurality of projections or recesses adapted to engage an aperture in the other members through which the link passes. As shown, the sinuous wire link 9 is hinged at 8 to the frame 4 of the sign and passes through a slot 12 in the reflector 11, hinged to the frame at 10. The inclination of the reflector 11 to the facia 1, as well as that of the sign as a whole, may now be adjusted by engaging the slot 12 and the supporting cord 13 with any part.of the link 9. The facia 1 may comprise a metal stencil, backed by a transparent or translucent sheet 2 of coloured celluloid or like material and by a further cut-out sheet 3, the whole being mounted in the frame 4.
