C. ; 303, Sanders Avenue, Scotia, New York, U.S.A.) Feb. 26, 1930, No. 6389. Convention date, Feb 26, 1929. [Classes 38 (iii) and 38 (v).] Reversing; non-regenerative braking.-A motor 10 is controlled by " forward," " reverse," and " stop " push-buttons 14, 15, 16 respectively, so connected to time limiting devices 17, 18, that the motor is stopped by plugging it for a predetermined interval of time. By depressing button 14 momentarily the forward contactor 12 is closed and completes a maintaining circuit for itself, as well as connecting the motor 10 for forward running. By depressing button 15 momentarily, the forward contactor 12 is opened and the reverse contactor 13 is closed, completing a maintaining circuit for itself, and connecting the motor 10 for reverse running. By depressing the stop button 16, the particular contactor closed is opened, and the other one closed, the opening of the closed contactor initiating the operation of the particular time limiting device whose contacts are included in the circuit of the newly-closed contactor, so that the latter remains closed for a predetermined interval of time after which the motor is disconnected from the supply mains 11.
