Abstract

Master control systems; controllers with checking devies actuated by the motor current. - A device for temporarily suspending the action of a currentlimit check in order to allow a traction motor to be accelerated under overload, comprises a driver's advance switch 5 which puts in a winding 4 in opposition to the usual overload winding 10 and an additional relay 2 which acts to break the advance connection immediately after the current-limit contact member 6 has moved to its advance position. The advance connection remains broken across the gap 3 until the driver's advance switch is opened.
