344,699. Aircraft framework. LUFTSCHIFFBAU ZEPPELIN GES., Friedrichshafen-on-Bodensee, Germany.-(Assignees of Besch, E. ; Friedrichshafen-on- Bodensee, Germany.) April 22, 1930, No. 12294. Convention date, April 18, 1929. [Class 4.] In girders for airships and other light structures comprising booms connected by crossed lattice bracing, the angle between the braces and the booms is made greater, and the braces therefore brought closer together, at those parts of the girder that require to be strengthened, as compared with other parts of the girder. The angle between the braces b and booms a may vary continuously from point to point of the girder as shown, or the variation may be effected in zones, the angle of the bracing in any one zone being constant. Each brace b may cross and be riveted to one or more adjacent braces.
