Abstract

Framework; planes and the like, construction of.-Framed structures, such as cantilever beams, in particular, cantilever wings for aircraft, are braced against torsional deflection by one or more pyramids of rigid rods j, k, m, n, built up in each bay, with a side of the bay as its base. When more than one such structure is used. the rods are bifurcated or otherwise formed to pass one another. The ends of the rods are pin-jointed. welded, or similarly secured, and the structure is preferably equal in height to the bay.
