Abstract

344,270. Overhung flyers for spinning &c. frames. BLACK, G. B., 201, Brook Street, Dundee. April 22, 1930, No. 12299. [Class 120 (ii).] An overhung flyer 1 for spinning, twisting and like frames has a boss 2, internally threaded for engagement with the externally threaded lower end of a tubular member 3 which is unitary with a driving wharl 4. This tubular member extends axially through a stationary sleeve 5, which is screwed into the rail 6. Ball bearings 7, 8 separate the wharl 4 from the sleeve 5. A clamp 9, fitted to the rail 6, holds a stationary yarn-guiding tube 10 which passes through the tubular member 3, and extends below the boss 2 of the flyer 1.
