[Class 108 (i).] Road vehicle roofs are constructed with weatherproof joints without welding by the provision of T-section carlins c secured to the cantrails d against the web portions of which the out-turned edges of sheet metal roof panels a are nested and secured by rivets if desired the whole joint being covered by a U-shaped capping strip g and secured by rivets h. The head portion of the carlin is let into the face of the cantrail and the panels a are secured by screws to the cantrail. Brackets m secured to the carlins are bolted to the cantrails.
