Abstract
344,187. Paper-clips. WHITE, T. V. and MAINWARING, J. N., 11, Old Post Office Place, Liverpool. Feb. 15, 1930, No. 5102. [Class 44.] The opening levers of a spring-binder clip are adapted to rotate about rivets 3 from the operative position perpendicular to the jaws of the clip to the position shown in Fig. 5. A stop 14 and a frictional abutment 15 are pressed up in the jaws of the yoke 7 to limit the rotation and the outwardly-curved jaw lips 8 are cut away at 10 to allow the ends 11 of the levers to engage beneath them when the levers are in the operative position. The levers are made of flat sheet metal.
