711,682. Glazing clips; glass houses. HARTLEY, Ltd., V. & N. June 5, 1953 [Aug. 14, 1952], No. 20415/52. Classes 20 (1) and 20 (3). [Also in Group XXV] Sheets of glass c, c, provided along their ends with U-shaped sealing beads d, are secured in position on flanges b, b of a frame a by means of a series of clips f<SP>2</SP> each of which is adapted to be located in one of a series of slots e in the frame a so that its ends are pressed down onto the sealing beads d: Each clip is arched to form an inverted V-shaped hump at the centre and has one portion narrower than the other to form shoulders f<SP>3</SP> where the two portions meet. In use the narrower portion of each clip is pushed through a slot e until the apex f<SP>1</SP> of the hump is sprung through the slot and the shoulders f<SP>8</SP> bear against the frame a. To secure a single pane of glass in a frame having only one rebate a cranked clip i<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 3, is used.
