343,732. Paperboard boxes. PAGE, J. E., 350, George Street, Sydney, Australia. Feb. 11, 1930, No. 4630. Convention date, April 19, 1929. [Class 18.] The body 20, Fig. 1, of a paperboard box of triangular, rectangular, circular &c. shape is made from a bottom member E, Fig. 2, a side wall member C, an inner wall member B and a covering D, the member E being placed on the covering D and the member C on the member E and forced therewith by a former through an opening in a table so that the covering D is folded up against the member C ; the projecting edges of the covering are then folded over the edges of the member C and secured against the inside thereof by the inner wall member B which projects above the wall member C and forms a shoulder for a slip-on lid. The member C is formed from a bent strip of paperboard, the ends of which are connected together by a tongue and slot 10 or by a piece of adhesive paper and may have inbent tongues 14 which lie on the bottom E and may support a false bottom A; the member B may be similarlv formed. The lid is formed in the same way as the box body but the inner wall member is omitted so that the lid will fit on to the projecting wall member B of the box body. The covering sheet may be transparent and the bottom or top or both the bottom and top of the box may be apertured to afford a view of the contents thereof.
