343,159. Cutting paper webs. TRIGGS, W. W., 57, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.-(Cameron Machine Co. ; 61, Poplar Street, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A.) Nov. 15, 1929, No. 34989. [Class 31 (i).] Stationary cut - ter machines.- In a score-cut slitter, chattering of the cutter at high speeds is avoided by clamping the cutterdisc 2 between dished plates 24 on a shaft 22 rotatable on antifriction bearings in a light weight metal casing 4 pivoted on a rod 5. A spring 9, clamped on a member 11 adjusted by a screw 14 applies pressure in a line joining the centres of the roll 1 and disc 2. A wick 26 leading from an oil or water receptacle may be fitted.
