Abstract

Iron alloys containing up to 35 per cent of chromium and up to 1,5 per cent of carbon contain also silicon in such amount as to raise the critical points of the alloys above the temperatures to which they are subjected in use. The chromium content may be at least 14 per cent plus 12 times the carbon content.
