Abstract

341,500. Convertible bedsteads. EDGERLEY, E. G., 49, Frogmoor, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Sept. 17, 1929, No. 28212. [Class 52 (ii).] An arm-chair convertible into a bedstead comprises a rectangular main seat portion carrying hinged forward and rearward extensions, and movable arm portions. Such a device is illustrated, comprising a framework 15 carrying a slidable seat member 12 to which are hinged members 26, 27 capable of being folded flat upon one another over the seat 12. Hinged arm members 22 may be held in raised position by catches 23, and may carry a cross rod 34 to support the member 27 when in use as the back of the chair. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 9239/04, 214,527, 259,489, and 315,731, [all in Class 52 (ii), Furniture for sitting &c. upon.].
