Abstract

338,625. Ferranti, Ltd., and Norris, E. D. T. Aug. 31, 1929. Transformers.-An oil-immersed transformer b is provided with a radiator d mounted above the tank a and connected thereto by pipes e extending respectively to the upper and lower parts of tho tank so that oil circulates from the top of the tank through the radiator and is returned to the lower end of the tank. An expansion chamber f associated with a breather g may be mounted above the radiator. Means such as a gauge glass i for indicating the oil level may also be pro- - vided together with an arrangement for actuating an alarm or tripping circuit in the event of loss of oil.
